Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 16 May 2026

These terms apply when you ask Gain Green Gardens to provide gardening, garden maintenance, garden tidy, lawn care, turfing, pruning, hedge cutting, clearance or related outdoor services.

This page is a practical website terms template for a small gardening business. It should be reviewed and adjusted by the business owner so it matches how Gain Green Gardens actually quotes, charges and works.

1. About us

Gain Green Gardens provides family-run gardening services in Ipswich, Suffolk and nearby areas.

  • Phone: 07835 897102
  • Email: esdaille77@yahoo.com

2. Quotes and bookings

  • Quotes are based on the information available at the time of the visit, call, text or email.
  • A quote may change if the job changes, access is different from what was described, hidden issues are found, or extra work is requested.
  • A booking is confirmed when we agree the work, price and date with you by phone, text, email or in person.
  • All quotes are no-obligation until accepted.

3. Access to the property

Please make sure we can safely access the garden or outdoor area at the agreed time. Gates, side entrances, parking, keys, pets and any hazards should be discussed before the visit.

If we cannot access the property, we may need to rearrange the visit and may charge a reasonable call-out or wasted journey fee where appropriate.

4. Customer responsibilities

  • Please remove fragile, valuable or personal items from the working area before we arrive.
  • Please tell us about hidden cables, drains, pipes, uneven ground, damaged fences, unsafe structures, ponds or any other hazards.
  • Please keep pets and children away from the working area while tools and machinery are in use.

5. Garden waste

Garden waste removal will be discussed as part of the quote. Where waste removal is included, we will remove normal garden waste created by the agreed work and dispose of it responsibly.

Extra waste, non-garden waste, rubble, household rubbish, contaminated materials or unexpected large volumes may cost more.

6. Weather and delays

Gardening work can be affected by heavy rain, high winds, unsafe ground conditions, extreme heat or other weather conditions. If the weather makes work unsafe or likely to cause damage, we may need to rearrange the appointment.

7. Payments

  • Payment terms will be confirmed when the job is booked.
  • Payment is usually due once the agreed work has been completed, unless agreed otherwise.
  • For larger jobs, a deposit or staged payment may be requested before work begins.

8. Cancellations and rearrangements

If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please give as much notice as possible. We understand plans change, but short-notice cancellations may affect the schedule.

If we need to cancel or rearrange due to weather, illness, vehicle issues or circumstances outside our control, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

9. Results and plant/lawn care

We aim to complete every job carefully and professionally. However, plants, lawns and outdoor spaces are affected by weather, soil conditions, pests, watering, drainage, season and aftercare.

For turfing, planting or lawn improvement work, aftercare such as watering and avoiding heavy use is important. We are not responsible for deterioration caused by lack of aftercare, drought, pests, disease, pets, misuse or extreme weather after the work has been completed.

10. Damage and liability

We take care while working at your property. If you believe damage has been caused by our work, please tell us as soon as possible so we can inspect it.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden issues, unstable structures, buried items, underground services we were not told about, or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

11. Photos of our work

We may ask to take before-and-after photos of gardens or outdoor work for our portfolio, website or social media. We will avoid showing private details where possible and you can tell us if you do not want photos used.

12. Complaints

If something is not right, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email. We will do our best to resolve concerns fairly and quickly.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be available on this page.
